Aluminum coil is a metallic sheet produced primarily from aluminum through processes such as cast‑rolling and cold rolling. As an industrial metal product, it is widely used in construction, electronics, packaging, machinery, and transportation. Its manufacturing process complies with technical standards including ISO 9001 and GB/T 3880‑2006, and employs methods such as direct casting of aluminum ingots followed by continuous casting and rolling. The product finds extensive applications in construction, electronics, packaging, machinery, transportation, as well as in emerging fields like new energy, electrical engineering, and rail transit.
This product is classified into series 1 through 9 based on its alloying elements. Series 1 (e.g., 1050) offers high purity at a low cost; Series 3, containing manganese, is suitable for humid environments; Series 5 aluminum–magnesium alloys are used in aircraft fuel tanks; and Series 7, with its zinc content, provides exceptional hardness and is commonly employed in aircraft structural components. During machining, the choice of tool material should be guided by the silicon content—high‑silicon aluminum alloys typically require diamond tools. Product thicknesses range from 0.2 mm to 10 mm, with thin sheets of 0.8–1.2 mm widely used in the construction sector and 0.6 mm specifications preferred for pipe insulation. Surface‑treatment options include anodizing and color coating, meeting both decorative and corrosion‑resistance requirements.
